We are looking to hire a Laundry Aide to join our team. This position is responsible for cleanliness in all aspects of the community, including resident units and common areas. Housekeepers provide laundry services to ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to speak and read English
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Sorting and washing laundry items according to color, fabric, and type
- Drying and folding laundry items
- Ironing and pressing clothes as needed
- Ensuring that laundry equipment is clean and in good working condition
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- Assisting with other housekeeping tasks as needed
