About The Position
Lawrence Street Health Care Center is seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Aide to join our team. This role is essential in helping provide clean clothing, linens, towels, and personal items for our residents while supporting infection control standards and overall resident comfort. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays organized, and understands the importance of attention to detail in a healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, EVS, or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Dependable attendance and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
- Commitment to providing excellent service to residents and staff
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens
- Label and organize resident clothing appropriately
- Maintain laundry equipment and report issues promptly
- Follow infection control, safety, and laundry handling procedures
- Ensure linens and resident belongings are delivered accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area
- Assist with additional housekeeping duties as needed
