About The Position

This position is responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients. The Laundry Aide will properly sort, wash, and dry linens following approved laundry procedures, and will fold, count, and stack linens. This role involves collecting soiled linens and redistributing clean linens, as well as transporting supplies such as clean and soiled linen to appropriate storage and collection areas. The Laundry Aide will routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identify damaged linens, and follow Standard Operating Procedures for damaged items. A key responsibility is maintaining the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position

Nice To Haves

• Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent combination of training and experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
• Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
• Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
• Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
• Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
• Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
