Laundry Aide-Part Time
About The Position
The Laundry Aide position is part time, working four days in a two-week pay period. The specific days are Friday, Monday, Wednesday, and the following Friday, with hours from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work effectively with co-workers, and minimal resident interaction. Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay on task are essential. The work area is described as well-lighted and well-ventilated. Physical demands include standing, bending, stooping, lifting heavy, wet wash, walking short distances, and pushing carts. The position involves exposure to heat and steam and may require handling contaminated articles.

Responsibilities
- Collects and sorts soiled linens.
- Operates washers and driers using established formulas and following instructions for operation of machines.
- Folds and counts dry linens to be put on shelves.
- Puts linens on carts and distributes to departments according to daily needs.
- Cleans and maintains washing and drying equipment.
- Informs supervisor when laundry supplies and equipment are low.
- Notifies Administration immediately of necessary maintenance of machine.
