About The Position

Spring Arbor of Clover Hill is hiring a part-time Laundry Aide for the day shift. The role helps residents feel comfortable, cared for, and at home by collecting, washing, drying, sorting, and distributing laundry and linens. The Laundry Aide maintains laundry and storage areas, monitors supplies, follows safety and infection-control procedures, and assists coworkers with other duties as needed. The stated schedule is 9:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Patience and a desire to work with seniors.
• Dependable and organized.
• Well-groomed and able to follow dress requirements.
• Familiarity with washing and drying clothes.
• General understanding of the needs of seniors.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use a laundry cart to collect dirty laundry from residents' rooms.
• Wash and dry table, bed, and bath linens and resident clothing as scheduled.
• Ensure laundry is distributed to its designated residents.
• Fold or hang residents' clothing when necessary.
• Notify the supervisor when linens, towels, detergents, or other supplies are needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry and storage room.
• Ensure towels, washcloths, and similar items have appropriately labeled designations.
• Update the laundry schedule when a new resident moves in.
• Understand, supervise, implement, and follow safety and infection-control policies and procedures, and post chemical safety signs.
• Assist coworkers with other duties as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
