About The Position

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring residents have clean, well-maintained linens and personal clothing, while also supporting a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys a healthcare setting, and is committed to providing excellent service.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry carts and supplies.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, resident-focused attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for resident care and comfort.
• Inspect linens and remove damaged or stained items from service.
• Collect residents' laundry daily or as needed.
• Label new residents' clothing as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms promptly and accurately.
• Follow all infection control, sanitation, and laundry procedures.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and according to facility procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Administrator.
• Assist with general housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned to help maintain a clean, sanitary, and odor-free environment.
