Laundry Aide: Full-Time (2p-10p)
About The Position
Valley View Retirement Community is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Laundry Aide to support the daily operations of its Laundry Department. The role helps ensure residents have a clean, safe, and adequate supply of linens and personal garments. The position is full-time, working 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., 10 days per pay period, with every other weekend and holiday scheduled. The stated wage is $15.53 per hour, with shift differentials of up to $3 per hour. The Laundry Aide performs daily laundry work according to established procedures, handles soiled and clean laundry, operates laundry equipment, and maintains a clean, safe, sanitary work area. The role is part of a mission-driven, faith-based community that emphasizes service, reliability, teamwork, and residents’ comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily laundry tasks in accordance with established procedures.
- Collect, sort, and weigh soiled linens, garments, and personal items.
- Identify and separate items requiring special stain treatment.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Press and iron garments as needed.
- Fold, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry and linens to residents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary laundry environment.
- Ensure an adequate supply of linens is available at all times.
