About The Position

ABBA Roller is seeking a Lathe Operator who operates grinding lathes to grind, face and polish products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches, and calibrates a variety of attachments to grind angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc. on to surfaces. About ABBA: ABBA Roller specializes in high-performance urethane rollers and custom elastomer solutions for industrial and commercial applications. We support customers across diverse industries with durable, precision-engineered products.

Requirements

Knowledge and Print reading skills
1-3 years of similar experience
1-3 years of experience with grinding and polish rubber machines, calipers, micrometers, vermeers.
High School degree or GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years in similar field or with machine experience
1-2 years using a CNC or manual machine tools to perform grinding operations
Ability to lift and manipulate 40 lbs.
Excellent close and distant vision.
Ability to stand 8 hours plus per workday.
Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of dimensions
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to understand the required specifications for grinding
Maintains a safe, clean, organized work area
