Position Summary/Resumen de la posición: Produce quality tubing for the Cannula department by operating equipment. Various tasks that will be assigned rotationally are Welding, Blocks, Sinks, Auto-Cut (MJR and IECO), and other tasks as necessary. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English and/or Spanish. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • In lieu of High School diploma/GED, three years manufacturing experience is required
  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Previous mechanical experience preferred
  • Safety conscious and work safely, especially when handling tubing and cut cannula - Proficient
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision – Proficient
  • Ability to work in a team environment - Proficient
  • Mechanical skills - Proficient
  • Ability to read and write and converse in English and/or Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting established production standards.
  • Responsible for meeting the quality requirements of the product and operating within the policies and procedures of the Quality System.
  • Use microscopes, pin gages and other inspection devices as necessary.
  • Perform basic maintenance as required to keep machines in good operational order
  • Use basic hand tools (allen wrenches, files, side cutters, crescent wrenches, etc.)
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
