About The Position

As a Technician, you’ll provide safe, high-quality, and timely service through hands-on testing, repair, and demonstration of advanced X-ray, camera, NanoZoomer, and laser systems; playing a key part in meeting customer needs while driving internal innovation and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training (electronics, imaging, optics, or related field) minimum
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions and ability to record data and document
  • 2+ years of experience in technical testing, hardware repair, or lab environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Radiation safety, Laser safety
  • ESD, RoHS, or general lab safety knowledge
  • Experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, function generator)
  • Basic understanding of imaging systems, electronics, or optical systems
  • Software installation and system configuration
  • Attention to detail
  • Willing to travel for work

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year technical degree preferred
  • Laser safety (Class 4 preferred)
  • Experience with CT / DR X-ray systems
  • Experience with digital cameras or imaging devices
  • Familiarity with optical/laser systems and alignment
  • Lab experience (pathology, microscopy, or imaging)
  • ASNT Level II RT certification (Radiographic Testing) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform digital radiography (DR) and CT inspection demonstrations.
  • Set up and operate industrial X-ray systems and optimize exposure parameters.
  • Evaluate images for defects (e.g., cracks, voids) and prepare reports.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, electronic testing, and basic repairs.
  • Install and update imaging software systems.
  • Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety and maintain exposure records.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies (PCBs, cameras).
  • Perform functional testing and document data in databases.
  • Analyze customer returns and provide repair recommendations.
  • Prepare and maintain demo kits and inventory systems.
  • Maintain test equipment and ensure calibration/operation readiness.
  • Scan histology/pathology slides using NanoZoomer systems.
  • Follow SOPs and test plans to ensure data integrity.
  • Evaluate scan quality (focus, completeness, artifacts).
  • Record observations and report issues to technical teams.
  • Maintain lab organization and equipment cleanliness.
  • Validate returned demo units and new laser products.
  • Operate optical benchtop equipment and collect output spectra.
  • Perform basic optical alignment and testing.
  • Follow Class 4 laser safety requirements and procedures.
  • Support engineering projects and cross-functional tasks.
  • Maintain organized lab, warehouse, and demo environments.
  • Assist with inventory control and equipment logistics.
