Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize/learn multiple computer software programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Programming and basic machine shop experience
  • Ability to work with the following tools or machinery: Micrometers, Calipers, Scales, Hilo, Crane.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting flat laser machines.
  • Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting 5-Axis laser.
  • Perform 2D and 3D Programming.
  • Egg Crate 5-Axis laser tool design.
  • Hand apply check aide design.
  • Laser programming simulation studies.
  • Understanding and using measurement tools and equipment for inspections, such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Reading blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.
  • Performing minor preventative maintenance and daily cleanup of machines and work areas, including changing, monitoring inventory and ordering bottled gases.
  • Comparing recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notify specified persons of discrepancies.
  • Making laser path corrections to deviations collected.
  • Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Promote teamwork and show a willingness to work with other departments.
  • Take initiative to find solutions quickly to problems that arise.
  • Demonstrate good work planning practices to do jobs in a very timely, efficient and safe manner.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation to continuously improve their job duties and tasks
