About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Laser Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will program, set up, and operate CNC/laser cutting equipment to process high-precision parts. If you have a strong background in CAD/CAM software, material processing, and quality control, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certifications preferred.
2+ years of experience as a Laser Programmer or CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Trumpf TruTops, Bystronic, Sigmanest, or similar).
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical schematics.
Solid math skills and experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
Proven understanding of material properties (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.).

Responsibilities

Create and optimize G-code/laser programs from 2D/3D engineering drawings and CAD files.
Calibrate laser machines and set parameters (power, speed, gas pressure, focal length) according to material type and thickness.
Run production batches, inspect first-article parts, and perform precision measurements to meet quality standards.
Partner with engineering and production teams to reduce scrap, optimize nesting, and improve cycle times.
Diagnose program errors, resolve machine feed issues, and perform routine preventative maintenance.
Maintain a clean work area and strictly follow workplace safety protocols.
