Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking multiple Laser Postdoctoral Researchers in Advanced Photon Technologies (APT) to contribute to the research and development of advanced solid-state laser technology, including ultra-fast, high peak power, high average power, and high energy/intensity short pulse lasers. This work will be conducted within the Extreme Light, Matter, and Fusion (LMF) Directorate, which houses the world's most energetic laser. The APT group specializes in developing high repetition rate long- and short-pulsed laser systems, such as the High-repetition-rate Advanced Petawatt Laser System, and high repetition rate high energy nanosecond pulsed diode-pumped solid-state lasers for EUV generation and Inertial Fusion Energy, along with associated innovative component demonstrations. This position is within the High Energy Density & Photon Science (HED & PS) organization in the Advanced Photon Technologies (APT) group, part of the Extreme Light, Matter, and Fusion (LMF) Principal Associate Directorate (PAD).
