About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of laser cutting machines. Responsibilities include performing daily machine startup and shutdown procedures, utilizing basic blueprint knowledge, and using Epicor ERP to log jobs. The role requires regulating and setting up equipment, loading authorized programs and tools, loading and unloading machines, and staging raw materials. Additionally, the operator must maintain daily dust collector service and associated logbooks, report equipment deficiencies, and assist team members when needed to maintain throughput. Minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and the work area are also part of the duties.

Requirements

• Basic blueprint knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
• Experience with power and hand tools required.
• Basic math and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on laser machines.
• Use Epicor ERP to log into and out of jobs.
• Regulate and set-up equipment.
• Load programs and tools as authorized to ensure operation.
• Load and unload machines.
• Stage raw materials at each work-center for the day’s production.
• Maintain daily dust collector service and associated logbook in assigned area and report equipment deficiencies.
• Assist in loading and unloading team members’ machines when production requires additional manpower to maintain throughput.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations.
