Responsible for learning and performing the set ups and running of Amada Laser. Inspect dimension and quality of all parts produced. Occasionally generates programs for equipment. Communicate with Programmers and Supervisor to prioritize daily work. Performs preventive maintenance of equipment. Maintains clear record and documentation of parts produced, manages raw stock inventory and disposes of scrap. Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, and/or set up sheets to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements. Fabricates work piece(s) as determined by work order specifications; retrieves correct materials, prepares workbench, and sets up appropriate tools to complete the job. Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards. Enters production quantities and labor hours into ERP system. May perform various other fabrication duties including sawing, deburring, hardware installation, etc. as necessary to satisfy customer requirements and meet specifications. Making sure the machine is set up properly, monitoring it during the process and documenting results. Perform basic math functions such as addition and subtraction. Works under immediate supervision and is not typically required to exercise independent judgment, but at times will be necessary. Safety and security: is able to observe safety and security procedures pertaining to plant maintenance/repair and use equipment properly. Keep work area organized to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Performs all other duties as directed by Management.
