Laser Operator I
About The Position
This opportunity is on second shift: 2pm-12:30am, M-Th (4x10). The Laser Operator I will be responsible for using nesting software per machine, setting up and running one laser proficiently, and performing centering, lens cleaning, and focus tests without supervision. The role also involves loading material safely without supervision, utilizing technology for processing jobs and communication (Clocking, Inventory, Job Completion), and assisting in training employees in the work center with current knowledge base. Mandatory overtime may be required when business conditions require it, and adherence to the attendance policy is expected. Other duties as required will also be part of the role.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work well with others
- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining inventory levels and stock management
- Problem-solving skills for resolving shipping discrepancies and customer issues
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check as a prerequisite of employment
- Ability to lift heavy objects (75-100+ lbs.) and perform various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, sitting, walking, twisting, and standing regularly
- Must have good dexterity to operate hand tools and paint sprayers
- Must also have normal vision with or without corrective lenses
