About The Position

This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and accuracy of various laser marking/etching machines. The role involves performing laser marking on standard production and custom orders, as well as conducting visual and dimensional inspections of all laser markings/etchings. The technician will also program and determine fixturing needs for new and custom products, working with Engineering as required. Responsibilities include maintaining fixture storage controls, performing routine equipment maintenance, detecting and reporting discrepancies, assisting with training, and adhering to company safety and quality system procedures. The work area and equipment must be kept clean and orderly.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experienced in use of caliper, OC and gaging for dimensional inspection.
High level of attention to detail.

Previous experience with laser marking technologies preferable.

Responsibilities

Set up and operation of various laser marking machines.
Perform laser marking on standard production and custom orders.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of all laser markings/etchings.
Program and determine fixturing needs for new and custom products.
Work with Engineering to assist with programming and fixturing needs.
Maintain fixture storage controls.
Perform routine maintenance activities for equipment as per work instructions.
Detect and report discrepancies or questionable conditions to the Department Supervisor.
Assist with training of new team members and operators.
Adhere to company safety requirements.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
