Responsible for the operation and daily maintenance of all laser related activities during your shift. This includes checking and replacing filters and cylinders, filling out job check sheets and inspection forms, emptying slag trays and dust barrels, and cleaning the work area. The role also involves ensuring paperwork is complete and accurate, communicating with the next shift operator, assisting other operators, and maintaining tools, lenses, ceramics, and nozzles. The operator will troubleshoot production problems, continuously improve quality, efficiency, and safety, and monitor a safe working environment. A key requirement is the ability to gauge material and identify different types and grades of materials.
