About The Position

We are excited to be adding a Laser Cutting Operator. In this role, you will operate CNC laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, performing machine setups, maintaining quality standards, and working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Previous CNC laser cutting experience preferred (manufacturing experience required).
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
Basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts (or willingness to be trained).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with CNC laser cutting equipment (Bystronic, Trumpf, Mazak, Mitsubishi, or similar).
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
Understanding of quality control standards.
Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut steel, aluminum, and other materials according to production requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
Set up machines, load and unload materials, and make minor program or offset adjustments as needed.
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor operating issues.
Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working order.
Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.
Assist in other fabrication or production areas as needed.
