Lark Maintenance Shop is a repair shop that provides specialty repair services to the Duke Energy Generation Fleet. The primary focus of the shop is reverse engineering components, refurbishment/replacement of aged components, repair of turbine-generator related components, complete overhaul of balance-of-plant pumps and responding to fleet needs to support the generation assets. The shop is composed of skilled personnel that work both independently and as a team to provide a high level of customer service to Duke Energy. The Lark Machine Shop Technician is a progressive position requiring individuals to work in a machine shop environment to support the Duke Energy Generation Fleet. Individuals in this position must be agile in their skillsets and have the ability to be flexible since the work is directly dictated by the priorities of the fleet. Individuals in this role have a minimum background in manual machining capabilities and further their advancement with other detailed skillsets (e.g., specialty welding, CNC machine operator/programmer, equipment specialist (pumps, valves, turbine components).
