About The Position

As a Large Loss Field Estimating Property Adjuster, you will be dedicated to providing exceptional service to our policyholders. Your primary responsibility will involve traveling to our customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and efficiently. Additionally, you will be leveraging various platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Your expertise will be primarily focused on fire and water losses, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements.
  • Must obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required by the office/area.
  • If holding an active insurance license, must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and not hold any outside appointments during employment.
  • Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed.
  • Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home.
  • Must have reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload when working from home.
  • Must join virtual interviews with camera on and have Valid Photo Identification available at the start of the interview (unless an internal candidate).

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years previous experience as an outside property adjuster.
  • Experience handling claims with multiple trades and over $100,000 in losses.
  • Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating.
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Residency within the posted location is mandatory for this role.
  • Applicable active licenses for the role (Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License) may make you eligible for a $1000 Licensing Sign on Bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections of customer homes.
  • Investigate property claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
  • Prepare estimates for fire and water losses.
  • Settle claims promptly and efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and video chat to guide them through the claims process.
  • Negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
  • Utilize multiple tools, including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms, to manage claims.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of work in a claims system.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation is completed for each claim.
