About The Position

We are actively hiring for the position of Large Format Operator for our plant in Van Nuys, CA. This role involves packing and sealing printing products, operating large format equipment, loading materials, measuring and counting products, checking orders via computer, and maintaining a clean work area. The operator will also be responsible for reporting hazards, performing scheduled maintenance, conducting quality tests, and proactively completing assigned duties.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to communicate in English.
Must be customer service oriented.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to use a computer, warehouse equipment and safe use of them (i.e., pallet jack).
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to understand and follow directions as given.

Responsibilities

Pack and seal printing products in the assigned boxes according to the size and quantity.
Use large format equipment to meet client product specifications.
Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
Read shipping labels and ensure correct quantity/product packaged.
Check orders on computers using the company’s database.
Communicate with the management team to ensure all duties assigned are completed.
Ensure that a clean and orderly work area is stocked with boxes and packing paper.
Report all workplace hazards to management immediately.
Perform scheduled maintenance.
Communicate equipment and material problems with management and vendor in a timely manner.
Perform scheduled color and image quality tests and notify manager upon found issues.
Proactively complete other duties as assigned.
