About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is seeking a Large Casting Processor. The role performs a wide variety of duties in large-casting molding and finishing areas, including assisting with molding, preparing and handling materials, pouring and shaking out molds, processing and finishing castings, and operating related equipment. Core hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The hourly rate is $20.55. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY; relocation benefits are not offered.

Requirements

At least six months of manufacturing experience.
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY; no relocation benefit is offered.

Responsibilities

Assist the molder and repair ladles.
Load and unload flasks, bottom boards, and upsets to molding lines.
Pour molds and shake out molds; operate an automated shake-out machine and perform core knockout.
Grind large castings and operate shot-blast equipment.
Transport materials and metal using a gas-operated forklift or hand truck, and operate a power sweeper.
Use hand tools, air grinders, air chisels, band saws, and other required grinding equipment to remove fins, parting lines, sprues, risers, gates, surface roughness, and other irregularities from castings.
Place wheels or abrasive belts on machines and make simple machine adjustments as required.
Patch surface imperfections within quality-control standards.
Refer unusual or questionable situations to appropriate supervision.
