About The Position

Operation of various brake presses. Responsible for the production of parts in a safe manner following the routing described and the specifications required by the blueprint.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of Crenlo’s Press Brake Training course is required.
  • A good command of the English language is required, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to read and understand route sheets and blueprints and check parts to print.
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the job for normal setup and operation of press.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 24 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Typically requires standing on a regular basis and walking and stooping occasionally.
  • Must be able to handle parts for inspection, stack parts and move parts to next operation and/or work station.
  • Specific vision requirements include depth perception and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Previous experience as a press operator is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform variety of machine setups and production involving forming, shaping and perforating.
  • Report labor and job data accurately.
  • Maintain quality, safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain clean and neat work area.
  • Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision.
