About The Position

The Language Instructor supports USSOCOM by overseeing and improving SOF language and cultural training programs. Responsibilities include curriculum and delivery evaluation, metrics and ROI assessment, readiness data integration, budgeting and acquisition support, and advising on DLPT/OPI standards and training technologies. Requires a bachelor's (master's preferred), 5+ years DoD/SOF experience, and an active SECRET clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Education, Program Management, or related field (Master’s preferred); equivalent experience may be considered
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting DoD or SOF training, education, or readiness programs
• Demonstrated understanding of language training program management, curriculum development, and evaluation
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with government budgeting, acquisition, and performance management processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization/reporting tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface with senior military and civilian personnel
• Possess and maintain a current SECRET security clearance

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of regional cultures, dialects, and geopolitical dynamics relevant to SOF missions
• Prior experience supporting USSOCOM language training programs
• Familiarity with Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) and Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) standards
• Experience developing or managing training technology solutions (LMS, adaptive learning platforms, virtual immersion)
• Military background in language or intelligence disciplines (e.g., MOS 35P, 2671, 1A8X1)

Responsibilities

• Advise on design, evaluation, and improvement of SOF language and cultural training programs.
• Provide analytical and technical support for planning, developing, and executing training programs.
• Evaluate curricula, instructional methodologies, and delivery systems for alignment with USSOCOM requirements.
• Develop performance metrics and assessment tools to measure effectiveness, proficiency outcomes, and ROI.
• Integrate language training data into readiness reporting and recommend improvements from trend analysis.
• Support SOWs, funding documents, acquisition packages, and resource tracking for training contracts.
• Prepare reports and briefings for senior leadership on performance, gaps, and resource allocation.
