Language Experience Engineer, Apple Services Engineering
About The Position
The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Language Experience team works at the intersection of language and technology, ensuring that a wide variety of entertainment content is delivered at scale in over 50 languages to more than 150 countries. These engineers build secure, end-to-end solutions, developing custom software for processing creative work, tools for media delivery, server-side systems, and APIs for numerous Apple services. The team operates with a unified vision, emphasizing a strong commitment to Apple's privacy policy. Despite the growing importance of services to Apple's business, these teams remain small, agile, and cross-functional, providing broad exposure to opportunities within the company.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Programming in two or more application-level languages such as Swift, C/C++, Objective C, Java, Javascript.
- Experience working with device frameworks like SwiftUI, UIKit, Android, AppKit.
- Knowledge of server programming with Java, C/C++, Python.
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related degree.

- Understanding of delivering automation at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship internationalization tools for client-server systems.
- Develop natural language transliteration and translation algorithms.
- Develop ML/NLP models.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Researchers, and Data Scientists to deliver multilingual solutions across ASE frontend and backend services.
