The Language Assessor position is responsible for providing language proficiency assessment information by assessing, scoring, and maintaining records. This role involves administering and scoring language assessment tests, recording test information into the student information system, and arranging for student testing through school-site staff. The assessor will also provide support for immigrant families, coordinate with the special education department for translation needs during reclassification meetings, and maintain a monthly updated foreign language list. Additionally, the position assists with the Rosetta Stone language program for immigrant families and coordinates with the Family and Community Engagement department (FACE) to stay informed about services for families.
