It also involves employing appropriate instructional methods and materials, assessing student accomplishments regularly, and providing progress reports. The position requires diagnosing student learning strengths and weaknesses, seeking assistance from District specialists when needed, and counseling with colleagues, students, and parents. Additionally, the role supports administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct, developing classroom behavior rules and procedures, and maintaining order. Planning and supervising assignments for support personnel and volunteers, and evaluating their effectiveness are also responsibilities. The role requires using appropriate technology in teaching and learning, maintaining accurate records and reports, and performing Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities as directed. Adherence to the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida and meeting all school and District policy requirements are mandatory. Support for school improvement initiatives through active participation in school activities, services, and programs is expected. Recognizing and taking appropriate action based on indicators of student distress or abuse, and establishing an appropriate testing environment and test security are also part of the role.
