Language Arts Teacher
About The Position
Join AoPS Academy as a Language Arts Instructor! Are you passionate about language arts? Do you love inspiring young minds in an engaging, collaborative classroom setting? We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Part-Time Instructor will teach engaging curriculum using company-created materials for advanced students in small classes. The role involves actively involving students in student-led learning, expert classroom management for up to 16 students, grading and providing feedback on tests, building relationships with students and families, and inspiring a love for learning and critical thinking in language arts.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students.
- Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
- This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
- Candidates must be located in Redmond, WA or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Unable to offer sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B.
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor’s degree in education or a humanities field is strongly preferred.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
