About The Position

The Landscaping Supervisor leads and coordinates grounds-maintenance crews, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard through mowing, trimming, planting, and seasonal upkeep. This role supervises laborers, manages job site logistics, and ensures work meets PFS quality and safety standards. You're being hired as a Landscaping Supervisor, but PFS is a full-service facility company, and all field employees are cross-trained to support the complete range of services we provide our clients. Depending on season, weather, and daily work orders, you may be assigned to assist with landscaping, janitorial services, litter and debris pickup, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)/flagging, and other services as needed. Snow and ice removal is a mandatory duty for every PFS employee, regardless of primary role, when winter weather events occur.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Landscaping or grounds-maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to operate or oversee use of landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license required and a reliable, dependable form of transportation daily (early work start times).
  • Willingness and ability to cross-train and work across all PFS service lines, including mandatory snow removal.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and manage a crew.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and direct daily activities of landscaping crews.
  • Train new employees on landscaping procedures, equipment use, and safety practices.
  • Oversee mowing, trimming, mulching, planting, and seasonal cleanup projects.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
  • Track crew productivity, attendance, and equipment/vehicle condition; report issues to management.
  • Communicate regarding job site needs and schedule changes.
  • Ensure crews follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with janitorial and interior/exterior cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Perform snow and ice removal (mandatory for all employees) during winter weather events, including shoveling, plowing support, and application of ice-melt products.
  • Assist with litter and debris pickup across assigned properties, roadways, parking lots, and common areas.
  • Support Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and flagging operations as needed.
  • Perform other services as needed based on client and business demands.
