About The Position

We are currently hiring a Landscaping Crew Lead to join our team. The Crew Leader, provides support and training to participants working in group supported employment. The role completes landscape tasks as part of a daily work load, and ensures quality and quantity of all work completed meet employer expectations. The role utilizes standard training techniques to teach participants to perform grounds maintenance tasks according to guidelines established by the Supervisor and employer. In addition, the Crew Leader provides training and support to participants to improve social, personal, and other work-related skills. Location: MCRD Pay: The pay for this position is $21.00 to $21.65. Schedule: The schedule for this position is Mon- Fri 7a-3p. Collecting and recording data on participant’s goals as required. Communicating effectively and professionally with employer and other employees at the work site. Emulating exemplary work behaviors at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in landscaping services including with heavy machinery (riding mower, chainsaw, trimmer)
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record; able and willing to transport participants

Nice To Haves

  • Were multi-lingual (English, Spanish preferred)
  • Had experience as a job coach or employment specialist for individuals with disabilities
