About The Position

The (USA) Landscaper is responsible for managing and maintaining assigned garden and landscape areas using horticultural techniques to ensure high-quality outdoor environments. This role involves planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management while performing routine maintenance such as grass cutting and weed control. The position requires collaboration with team members and business partners to meet operational goals, uphold company standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Landscaper contributes to a positive work environment by demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a commitment to delivering excellent results aligned with Walmart’s values. The Walmart Home Office Landscape Projects Team is committed to maintaining and enhancing the Walmart Campus through expert landscaping and hardscape installation. This team collaborates to create sustainable, safe, and well-maintained outdoor spaces. Members apply skills in construction, design/build, and horticulture to deliver quality results. The team emphasizes clear communication, shared resources, and continuous improvement to meet business objectives. Requirements

  • Proven experience in horticulture, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and maintaining garden beds and landscape plants.
  • Knowledge of pest and disease identification with the ability to apply appropriate chemical treatments safely.
  • Ability to perform routine landscape maintenance such as grass cutting, weed management, and leaf raking.
  • Strong teamwork skills, including coaching, mentoring, and collaborating to meet business priorities and quality standards.
  • Commitment to upholding company policies, ethical standards, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Adaptability to change and continuous improvement through feedback and embracing new tools and methods.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain assigned garden areas using horticultural methods and techniques to meet landscape standards.
  • Perform routine landscape maintenance including grass cutting, weed control, leaf raking, and pruning.
  • Plant, cultivate, fertilize, water, and prune flowers, plants, and trees as required.
  • Identify and address pest and disease issues through appropriate chemical applications.
  • Lead and collaborate with teams to coordinate work assignments, share resources, and ensure quality and timely completion.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve landscape operations in partnership with managers and business partners.
  • Promote compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and safety procedures in all activities.
