About The Position

Performs activities related to improving and maintaining University grounds, including installation, maintenance, and care of landscape plants and turfs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and 6 months of appropriate experience required.
• Must be able to read and follow written instructions in the proper execution of assigned tasks.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, maintains and repairs lawn care tools and equipment.
• Operates equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, blowers, etc.
• Maintains grounds; waters, rakes, mows, prunes, trims, and edges lawns and shrubbery.
• Maintains work area in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.
• Picks up and bags litter, broken glass, and tree limbs.
• Plants shrubs, trees, flowers, and other plants.
• Re-sods or reseeds barren areas.
• Answers questions and provides information to staff, faculty, students and visitors.
• Other related duties as assigned.
