About The Position

EarthScapes Lawn & Land Service, Inc. is seeking a licensed, detail-oriented Spray Technician to join their Agronomics team. This is a solo position where the technician will manage their own route, truck, and equipment, acting as both crew member and leader. The role involves applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to residential and commercial properties according to schedules, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and compliance. The technician will also be responsible for client communication, including providing 'leave behinds' and informing clients of any service restrictions. Planning and executing daily routes independently, ensuring equipment readiness, and adhering to all safety protocols and regulations are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Valid Virginia Pesticide Applicator's License (required)
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
Reliable attendance and punctuality
OSHA safety knowledge
First Aid & CPR Certification
Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

2+ years of experience preferred in turf and plant care

Responsibilities

Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to program schedules
Complete jobs on time and within budget, with a high degree of customer satisfaction
Ensure every application is safe, accurate, and legally compliant
Document all services, materials used, and completed sites in Aspire
Provide "leave behinds" (yard signs and paperwork) at every service visit
Communicate any restrictions to clients (watering, walking, pet access)
Plan and execute your daily route independently
Ensure your truck, equipment, and materials are ready before leaving the yard each day
Follow all safety protocols for chemical handling and application
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and company policy
