About The Position

The Landscaping Manager is responsible for overseeing all landscaping operations across residential and commercial properties. This role manages field teams, ensures high-quality grounds maintenance, and drives efficient project execution while maintaining safety, budget, and client satisfaction standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in landscaping or grounds management
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Experience managing both residential and commercial properties
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and landscape design
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field
  • Pesticide applicator license (if applicable)
  • Experience with landscaping management software

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily landscaping operations across multiple residential and commercial sites
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance and installation activities
  • Ensure properties meet quality, aesthetic, and contractual standards
  • Monitor seasonal needs (planting, irrigation, snow removal if applicable)
  • Lead, train, and supervise landscaping crews and supervisors
  • Assign work, manage schedules, and track productivity
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development
  • Enforce safety protocols and company policies
  • Coordinate landscape installations, upgrades, and enhancement projects
  • Manage timelines, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Troubleshoot site issues and adjust plans as needed
  • Serve as primary point of contact for property owners, tenants, and commercial clients
  • Conduct site walkthroughs and address client concerns
  • Provide recommendations for improvements and seasonal enhancements
  • Maintain strong client relationships and retention
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and projects
  • Track labor, materials, and equipment costs
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
  • Approve purchases and manage vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards
  • Maintain proper use and storage of equipment and chemicals
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections
  • Maintain incident reports and corrective actions
