About The Position
Kiawah Partners is currently hiring Landscape Laborers! Landscape Laborers are responsible for the overall care and maintenance of lawns, shrubs, flowerbeds, walks and gardens.
Requirements
- Experience in lawn and garden maintenance
- Ability to use gardening tools and equipment
- Knowledge of planting, pruning, and mulching techniques
- Ability to follow landscaping designs
- Physical stamina for outdoor work
Nice To Haves
- Experience with hand and power tools for equipment repair
- Knowledge of different plant species
Responsibilities
- Mowing and edging lawns and around flower beds, walks and walls
- Mulching, aerating, weeding, and grubbing
- Planting seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs using gardening tools
- Decorating gardens with stones and plants
- Following planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers and foliage
- Pruning and trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws
- Raking, mulching and composting leaves
- Trimming and picking flowers, and cleaning flower beds
- Watering lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans
- Maintaining and repair tools, equipment, and structures such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, and benches, using hand and power tools
- Providing proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features
