POSITION TITLE: Landscaping and Grounds Laborer- this is a year-round permanent role LOCATION: Savannah, GA, Chatham County DESCRIPTION: Nouria Energy is a fast paced, fast growing retail and wholesale petroleum company operating over 185 locations from Maine into Georgia with a corporate office located in Savannah, GA. We are seeking a motivated Landscaping and Grounds laborer who has experience and knowledge of a wide variety of landscaping duties. Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• 1 year minimum experience with landscaping
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal communication and written skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Irrigation system knowledge.
• Hardscape installation experience is required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as a skid loader and snow removal equipment.
• Experience in utilizing landscaping power tools, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, head trimmers, and chainsaws.
• Experience with tree removal and pruning.
• Snow removal experience
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time.
• Ability to work after hours or weekends when deemed necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ability to safely cut grounds using hand, power or riding mower for trimming edges around walkways, beds, and walls. Ensuring the sites are left to the Nouria standards.
• Be able to efficiently apply fertilizer to property grounds to enhance growth.
• Ensure grounds are free of weeds and dead plants.
• Prepare the sites for snow removal/salting season.
• Assist with loading and unloading of work trucks/trailers during the day.
• Move and install soil, mulch, and plant materials that will enhance the landscape gardens and related area of our sites.
• Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to skid steers, back hoes, dump trailers, chainsaws, and others.
• Perform landscaping duties including but not limited to planting trees and shrubs, planting daylilies and other flowing plants, excavation, grading, site preparation, irrigation systems, seeding, mulching of beds, salting and snow removal.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Installation of required material for landscaping / irrigation
• Inspect completed work to ensure it conforms with Nouria standards.
• Comply with all company policies & procedures.
• Always wear appropriate protective equipment.
• Communicate with supervisor
