About The Position

Penske Automotive Group is seeking a reliable and motivated Landscape Irrigation Technician to maintain the appearance and health of our dealership grounds. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems who also enjoys landscaping and grounds maintenance. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing irrigation systems while helping keep our dealership properties clean, safe, and visually appealing year-round. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering quality work, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys working outdoors.

Requirements

Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial landscape irrigation systems is required.
Landscaping and grounds maintenance experience required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Positive attitude, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
Ability to safely work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
High School graduate.
Previous maintenance experience.
Strong ability for on the job training.
Must be certified in both Electrical and HVAC repair
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Certification of taking a 20 Hour OSHA class
Fork Lift certification
Aerial Lift Certification

Nice To Haves

Experience with sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, timers, PVC repairs, and irrigation troubleshooting preferred.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record preferred.
General Construction background desired.
Associates degree or equivalent; and three to five year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Automotive dealership facility experience.
Electrical and electronic principles.
Blueprint and electrical schematic reading.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, adjust, and maintain commercial irrigation and sprinkler systems to ensure proper operation.
Monitor irrigation performance and identify leaks, broken sprinkler heads, valve issues, timer/controller problems, and water coverage concerns.
Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal adjustments to irrigation systems.
Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and general grounds care.
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as directed.
Remove debris, empty trash, and maintain clean, safe, and professional dealership grounds.
Operate, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on landscaping equipment and tools.
Ensure all work is completed safely while meeting company standards and maintaining an attractive dealership environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
