About The Position

Responsible for completing high-quality landscape installation jobs efficiently. The role involves landscape installation using hand and power tools and earth-moving equipment, along with tasks such as planting, laying sod, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, mulching, and installing irrigation. The employee must operate equipment safely and use all necessary personal protective equipment. This is a full-time, year-round opening to replace vacancies in the core group.

Requirements

At least 3 months of direct landscape installation experience in commercial projects.
Safely operate equipment using all necessary personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

Dig, plant, and install plants, trees, grass, and other landscape materials.
Mix fertilizer and/or compost as directed for planting activities.
Install tree stakes and other plant support systems as required.
Haul and install materials using wheelbarrows, rakes, and other equipment.
Install edging, weed fabric, mulch, flagstone, ledge stone, boulders, crushed granite, pavers, river rock, and similar materials.
Operate landscape tools and equipment, including weed-eaters, mowers, hedge trimmers, skid steers, plate compactors, and pressure washers.
Inspect equipment before use and report damage or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Water plants, trees, and lawns using hoses, portable sprinkler systems, or watering cans.
Assist with building concrete forms and mixing concrete and/or mortar as needed.
Assist with masonry installation, including concrete block, flagstone, and pavers.
Place decorative boulders and stones according to project specifications.
Use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, brooms, picks, axes, rock hammers, digging bars, wheelbarrows, hand pruners, loppers, machetes, and sod rollers.
Maintain, cultivate, and care for plant materials owned or purchased by the company.
Operate, care for, and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
