Landscape Installation Laborer
About The Position
Extreme Landscaping & Designs, LLC, a Southwest Florida landscape design and installation contractor, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Landscape Installation Laborer to assist with landscape installation projects throughout Southwest Florida. This position works under the direction of the Landscape Crew Leader and Landscape Superintendent to install landscape materials, maintain job site cleanliness, operate tools and equipment, and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to learn and grow within the company.
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of landscape tools and equipment preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting, sod installation, mulching, grading, irrigation, and site cleanup.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, equipment, and tools to and from job sites.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow direction from the Landscape Crew Leader and Superintendent.
- Assist with irrigation installation and repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform general labor duties including digging, lifting, carrying, raking, and site preparation.
- Assist with job site setup and cleanup each day.
- Inspect tools and equipment and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain a professional attitude while representing the company on customer job sites.
- Work as part of a team to complete projects on schedule and according to company quality standards.
