About The Position

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is hiring a full-time Landscape Designer at its Mechanicsburg Home & Garden Store for $19.50 per hour. The role requires availability Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The designer advises customers on plant selection and maintenance, meets with customers at the store or their sites to understand their landscaping needs, and prepares designs, materials lists, and cost estimates. The role also supports merchandising and sales, coordinates orders and deliveries or pickups, and follows up with customers to ensure satisfaction. Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Regular exposure to outside weather conditions while performing job duties.

Nice To Haves

CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Advise and assist customers in selecting and maintaining plants.
Assist with merchandising products or services to develop new markets, increase market share, and obtain a competitive position in the industry.
Meet with potential customers at the store or client sites, gather information about their landscaping needs, and produce designs to customer specifications.
Process sales orders, coordinate delivery or pickup of materials, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction with the service and materials.
Provide customers with a design, materials list, and cost estimate in a timely manner.
Perform tasks necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the division.
