Rutheo Designs is seeking a Landscape Designer who is passionate about plants, client collaboration, and creating ecologically sound landscapes. This role offers the chance to design meaningful landscapes while working closely with a team of builders and horticulturalists. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in landscape design with a focus on PNW ecology & horticulture.
  • Strong horticultural knowledge and plant identification skills.
  • Comfortable meeting with clients and presenting design ideas.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Interested in ecological landscaping and habitat restoration.
  • Detail-oriented and takes pride in quality work.
  • Collaborative and dependable.
  • Experienced with landscape design software (SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, others).
  • Ability to learn and use landscape design software.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • English fluency.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
  • Must be alert and sober during work.

Responsibilities

  • Developing landscape plans for new garden installations.
  • Working directly with clients throughout the design process.
  • Meeting with clients and analyzing site conditions.
  • Creating landscape concept plans and detailed designs.
  • Revising plans based on client feedback.
  • Coordinating plant orders and deliveries/pickups with local nurseries and the operations manager.
  • Collaborating with the project manager and installation team for successful project implementation.
  • Attending site analysis visits and consultations with design clients.
  • Following the Rutheo Designs design process for each client project.
  • Responding to client inquiries related to design work.
  • Maintaining professionalism and clear communication with clients and staff.
  • Wearing a work uniform during all client meetings and when on job sites (company polo shirt tucked in, long pants & closed-toe shoes).
