About The Position

RVi is seeking a Landscape Designer to join their Denver office. This is an early-career opportunity for someone with approximately 1-3 years of professional experience. The role involves supporting project design, development, and documentation under project leadership. Responsibilities include preparing and coordinating project documents. An interest in planning projects is encouraged as the Denver team works across both landscape architecture and planning. The position requires using AutoCAD and related software, supporting the RVi standard design process, assisting with drafting documents and computations (including opinions of probable cost), and potentially assisting with landscape architecture and planning assignments, coordination of subconsultants and clients, construction-related services, and agreement preparation. Site visits, participation in site walks, and communication with the Project Manager regarding workload and schedules are also part of the role. Adherence to RVi QA/QC protocols, established standards, and compliance with national, state, and local standards is expected.

Requirements

  • AutoCAD
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Revit and/or Lumion
  • Microsoft Office
  • Written and verbal communication, including technical writing
  • Approximately 1–3 years of professional landscape architecture, design, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to apply fundamental design concepts to practical situations using your educational background and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with Project Managers and other members of the project team.
  • Ability to complete and/or correct design documentation.
  • Interest in supporting both landscape architecture and planning-related projects.
  • Ability to move about the office and project sites as needed.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Use AutoCAD and related software to complete assignments on time and in line with standards outlined in the RVi Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manual.
  • Support the RVi standard design process.
  • Assist with drafting documents and computations, including opinions of probable cost.
  • May assist with landscape architecture and planning-related project assignments based on experience and project needs.
  • May assist with the coordination of project subconsultants and clients.
  • Assist with the preparation of construction-related services.
  • Assist with agreement preparation.
  • May assist with completing site visits as required.
  • May participate in site walks, including project closeouts and related procedures.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager about workload, schedules, and tasks to help meet designated chargeability goals.
  • Follow RVi QA/QC protocols and established standards.
  • Support project compliance with applicable national, state, and local standards and requirements.
