Landscape Crew Member
About The Position
ABC Home & Commercial Services is seeking a Landscape Crew Member to join their team. This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus opportunity of up to $1500, with a first-year earning potential of $36k - $60k based on performance and experience. The role involves the professional completion of landscaping tasks, adhering to customer expectations and sales agreements. Responsibilities include preparing work sites, installing and removing plants and sod, performing light construction work such as laying slabs and building small rock walls, and cleaning up job sites. During the slower season, employees will also be responsible for Holiday Lights installation, which may involve climbing ladders up to 20-30 feet, working on pitched roofs, and being comfortable working at heights. Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
- Minimum 3 years Landscaping, Stone-Works and light construction experience required.
- Excellent communication & customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and still maintain good composure.
- Experience working with routes, service stops, and meeting deadlines of your service route.
- Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round.
- Ability to work inside and/or outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
- Candidates must have a minimum of five consecutive (current and most recent) years of verifiable good driving history.
- Any DWI/DUI within the past four years may impact eligibility for employment and may result in withdrawal of a conditional offer.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required.
- Experience working on ladders, roofs, trees, or aerial lifts is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Become familiar with customers’ expectations and sales agreements and follow the specifications of the work to be completed by your crew.
- Learn and use all equipment as directed by the Crew Leader.
- Prepare the work site which could include digging, sweeping, removal of objects, plants, removal or installation of trees, shrubs, palms, plants, sod and mulch, and another type of work as agreed by sales agreement, including light construction work.
- Remove or install trees, shrubs, palms, plants, sod and mulch, and other types of work as agreed by sales agreement, including light construction work.
- Learn the basics of construction work and gain the ability to work on small projects in new construction and repair on a small scale, i.e., laying slabs, small rock walls and other types of rock work, outdoor kitchens, and grills as stated in the contract.
- Clean the work area and haul away the trash, branches, plants, or other debris once work is complete.
- Perform Holiday Lights installation during the slower season, which requires climbing ladders up to 20–30 feet, working on pitched roofs, and being comfortable working at heights.
