About The Position

Lowney's Landscaping Center is seeking a Landscape Construction Technician to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are passionate about building creative projects, and are looking for a career with opportunities for growth. As a Landscape Construction Technician, you will be a vital part of the team, working under the guidance of a Foreman to complete landscape projects safely, efficiently, and with high quality. The position requires a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License, with the ability to operate company vehicles safely
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform manual labor for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from 0 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Able to work outdoors in direct sunlight for long hours and endure extreme cold or wintry precipitation when necessary
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools required for landscape construction and maintenance tasks
  • Dedicated to working safely, following all safety protocols, and completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Team-oriented, with a commitment to contributing to a positive, productive work environment
  • Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, and excited to contribute to the overall success of the team and projects

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience using skid-steer equipment and other machinery is a plus
  • Knowledge of landscape materials, construction processes, and industry best practices is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Construct patios, fireplaces, retaining walls, and other hardscape features.
  • Install planting beds, lawns, and other landscape elements.
  • Take accurate measurements and use hand and cutting tools to complete projects.
  • Communicate with the Crew Leader about client concerns, job site updates, and feedback.
  • Maintain a positive, responsive, and adaptable attitude with clients.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficiency and a motivated environment.
  • Follow safety protocols at all times.
  • Continuously seek to improve skills through guidance and training.
  • Manage tasks effectively to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
  • Troubleshoot on-site issues and offer practical solutions.
  • Represent Lowney's Landscaping Center with professionalism and pride.
