About The Position
ND Landscape Services is hiring dependable Landscape Construction Laborers to join our construction crews. This is a hands-on construction position. You will help build patios, walkways, retaining walls, stairs, drainage systems, lawns, plantings, lighting and complete outdoor living spaces. Prior landscape experience is helpful, but it is not required for candidates who are dependable, willing to learn and interested in building a long-term career in the trades.
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Able to follow direction and work well with a crew
- Willing to learn new construction and equipment skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Able to perform the essential physical duties of outdoor construction work, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to our Georgetown location
- Available for overtime and winter storm work as needed
Nice To Haves
- Prior landscape experience is helpful
- Experience in landscaping, hardscaping, masonry, excavation, carpentry, irrigation, drainage, equipment operation or general construction is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patios, walkways, retaining walls, stairs and outdoor living spaces
- Prepare jobsites and move construction materials
- Assist with grading, drainage, planting and lawn installation
- Use hand tools, power tools and compaction equipment
- Learn to operate skid steers, excavators and other equipment based on experience and training
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Follow plans, work orders and direction from the foreman
- Maintain safe, clean and organized jobsites
- Work as part of a professional construction team
- Participate in winter snow and ice operations
