About The Position

Heritage Landscapes is hiring a senior Landscape Construction Estimator to support its landscape installation and construction work. The estimator is responsible for ensuring an accurate and timely estimating process that helps the company win competitive and profitable projects. The role also maintains and improves estimating software, including its item catalog, kits, pricing, templates, and proposal and contract layouts. The position includes an annual salary of $125,000 and benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick leave, 401(k), profit sharing, and unlimited paid time off.

Requirements

Prior experience as an estimator for a residential landscape construction firm.
Experience with Aspire or similar software.
Experience with takeoff software and digital or electronic takeoffs.
Willingness to learn new skills.
Positive, productive, and motivated attitude.
Ability to collaborate as part of a team and work independently.
Ability to represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
Proficiency in oral, written, and digital communications.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to plan, lead, and complete daily work tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
Ability to read blueprints and specifications to perform takeoffs and prepare bids for landscape installation work.
Flexibility with assigned tasks as schedules, deadlines, and priorities change.
Valid California driver’s license and an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform site visits and takeoffs, and promptly and accurately build estimates for assigned potential projects.
Ensure vendor pricing is competitive and accurate.
Evaluate, develop, and use company production rates.
Price bids and markups competitively while meeting or exceeding company profitability goals.
Regularly maintain and update estimating software databases.
Prepare project proposals and formal contracts for review and submittal.
Use Aspire software to estimate opportunities.
Review job-cost and profit reports with the Department and adjust the estimating process as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
