About The Position

Ryan Lawn & Tree is seeking a Landscape Bed Maintenance Specialist to join their team. This role involves maintaining landscaped areas and plant material on residential and commercial properties through regular pruning, mulching, weeding, cutbacks, and cleanups. The specialist will also assist with landscape installation and tree work seasonally, work independently or as part of a team, and interact professionally with customers. A general knowledge of plant maintenance practices is expected, along with ongoing on-the-job training for all RYAN services.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
3 years’ experience in landscape plant maintenance or related field
Working knowledge of plant identification, proper pruning and common issues by species
Commercial applicator's license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain landscaped areas and plant material on residential and commercial properties.
Perform pruning, mulching, weeding, cutbacks, and cleanups on a regular schedule and as needed.
Assist with landscape install and tree work as needed/seasonally.
Work well independently as well as on a team while caring for customer properties.
Interact professionally with customers on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services.
Possess a general knowledge of plant maintenance practices.
Continue on the job training for all aspects of RYAN provided services along with recommendations for other RYAN services as needed on their property.
