About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. There are two levels of positions available: Student Temp I and Student Temp II Landscape Assistant. The specific level will be determined during the interview assessment. The role involves assisting with various outdoor tasks related to campus landscaping and maintenance.

Requirements

Only UND students are eligible to be hired
Willing to work in an outdoor environment in inclement weather
Must be able to work a minimum of 10hrs/week
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently and without restrictions
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license
Experience in operation of tractors, large front-end loaders, or forklifts
CDL license

Responsibilities

Assist redoing landscapes around campus
Assist with painting athletic fields
Tree and stump removal
Assist in cleaning sidewalks and streets
Filling potholes
Shoveling Snow
Hand Sanding
Working with staff to redo landscapes around campus
Experience in operating equipment to clean sidewalks and streets such as Bobcat skid steers, ToolCats and small articulating front-end loaders
Experience in operation of small asphalt roller or asphalt crack sealing equipment a plus
On call for snow removal/storm clean up and willing to assist in supervision of crew response
Experience running equipment for large scale snow removal and landscape equipment
Picking up garbage and branches
Run Snow Removal Equipment
Other duties as assigned
