About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Landscape Architecture students to join our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (OK) office. This internship focuses on contributing to site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production. Interns will utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and quality control deliverables for clients. Projects may encompass land planning, urban design and redevelopment, mixed-use and residential development, streetscapes, design guidelines, public infrastructure, parks, and community facilities. The role involves problem-solving, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines to realize client visions. Interns will also develop an understanding of relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices and standards. Analysts will gain experience with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Excel.

Requirements

  • In the process of receiving a Landscape Architecture Degree (Bachelors or Masters)

Nice To Haves

  • Analysts will learn one or more software programs: Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
  • Contribute to the site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
